Description
Position Summary:
The Facilities Utility Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and general upkeep of the building, including paint booths, shop areas, office spaces, and the surrounding grounds. This is a second shift position currently on 9 hours working Sunday – Thursday 3pm to 12:30 am
Duties and Responsibilities:
Paint Booth & General Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on prep and paint booths
- Replace filters and perform light maintenance as needed
- Clean interior and exterior walls and floors of each booth
- Power wash floor grates
Shop Area Cleaning:
- Dust walls, doors, and surfaces
- Remove trash and recyclables
- Sweep and clean floors
Office Area Cleaning:
- Vacuum carpets and rugs
- Mop and polish hard floors
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of common areas
Grounds Maintenance:
- Remove snow, litter, and debris from sidewalks and parking areas as needed
- Empty and clean ash cans and outdoor waste containers
Tools and Equipment Used:
- Forklifts (for material movement and access)
- Floor polishers and buffers
- Man lifts (for high-access cleaning and maintenance)
- Riding floor scrubber
- Pressure washers
- General cleaning tools and supplies (brooms, mops, vacuums, etc.)
