SUMMARY:
Assists in the finishing of parts in after they have been painted.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demask finished parts and make an inspection of the part to ensure no damage is done.
- Perform a finish of the part(s) after painting is completed using the specified products outlined in the work instruction. Products may include wax, compound, or polish.
- Finish surfaces by polishing with sandpaper, pumice, compound, wax or other materials.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
- Maintains cleanliness of spray booth
- Positions articles in jigs or erects ladders or scaffolding
- Perform other tasks as assigned or approved by the Paint Manager
Qualifications
Background in paint and body repair with a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience. A High School or GED equivalent required. A certificate from an accredited technical or an industrial trade school is preferred. Needs to be a self-starter with proficiency in budgeting time. Incumbent must possess basic hand tools for the position and upgrade such tools as required to complete the tasks assigned.
