Albert Knapp & Associates (AKA) an established mental health clinic (not DMH) located in Redondo Beach, California is looking to hire pre-licensed mental health therapists to provide therapy services to people of all ages. We provide CBT, Play Therapy, and Psychological Testing, to clients of all ages with a specific focus on school-aged children, tweens, and teens.
Focus on your clinical work. There is no requirement to network or market your services. We will provide you with a full schedule of clients to help you complete your hours and sharpen your skills. We have a full administrative team to assist with scheduling, client communication, and office functionality.
We currently need two full-time clinicians. The position is hourly and the pay is competitive. We are looking for a compassionate mental health therapist to be responsible for counseling individuals, groups, or families to diagnose and treat mental health disorders. The mental health therapists’ responsibilities include referring clients to specialists, monitoring progress during treatment, and creating a comfortable environment for clients to be treated.
To be successful as a mental health therapist you must be professional and keep all client information confidential. A good mental health therapist remains professional yet empathetic and makes clients feel at ease during consultations.
Mental Health Therapist Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
Facilitate sessions with individuals, groups, or families.
Refer clients to specialists if necessary.
Create a treatment plan based on each client’s needs.
Monitor client progress during treatment.
Mental Health Therapist Requirement
A master’s degree.
Prior Experience In Psychotherapy.
Excellent communication skills.
Empathy for clients.
Confidentiality with client information.
