SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly experienced individual to join our team as an Aquatics Facility Manager. In this crucial role, you will be at the forefront of managing and operating our aquatic facility, ensuring the highest standards of safety, and creating an enjoyable environment for all patrons.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Create and manage facility budget
- Manage day-to-day operations of the aquatic center
- Directly manage swim lessons and swim team
- Directly manage lifeguards, swim instructors, and customer service representatives
- Coordinate communication with the City/Municipality and Aquatic Center Partners
- Attend marketing events throughout the city
- Promote year-round activities at the aquatic center and drowning prevention within the community
- Schedule staff and manage payroll for the aquatic center
- Manage all cleaning and maintenance at the aquatic center
- Manage inventory for concessions and merchandise
- Keep facility compliant with all City and State requirements
- Ensure the safety of guests, program participants, and team members
- Maintain aquatic center website
- Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Instructor Certification
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Ability to make decisions, meet targets and work under pressure
- A sense of urgency, comfort with ambiguity, drive for results and ability to remain true to the company’s purpose
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Aquatics industry

- Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job and to move or lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to move freely about the office or facility(ies) for the duration of the workday
- Must be physically able to rescue someone drowning or injured in the water
- May be exposed to prolonged periods of being outdoors
- May be required to stand for periods of up to 8 hours
- Must be able to travel to regional facilities as required
