Description
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing support for the information technology equipment and users of the equipment in our environment. This included the following responsibilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain healthcare information systems and applications.
- Setup, maintain, and disable account access for users of the organization.
- Provide technical support to medical staff and troubleshoot system issues.
- Contact vendors for support with issues if needed.
- Ensure patient information is accurately and securely stored and easily accessible.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals to understand their IT needs and provide effective solutions.
- Help develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data management and security.
- Train healthcare staff on the use of new systems and software.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and propose system updates when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations related to data management.
- Create and generate reports to aid in decision-making processes.
- Coordinate with other IT professionals to manage system updates and resolve technical issues.
- Some Travel is required.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or comparable experience or certifications
- Proven experience in IT support, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare systems and medical terminology.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and other IT staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and data security standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
