Team Leader for Picking
To perform this job you must have 2-4yrs experience in warehouse environment. Ability to effectively present information and respond accordingly to Managers and clients as needed. The Team Lead must have experience with overseeing high level of detail and quality. Possess a sense of urgency and accountability. Experience with Word, WM, Excel, Outlook and leading the team in the safe, accurate and efficient operation of total warehouse standards and the use to perform the duties
Responsibilities
- Responsible for printing all wave replenishment which includes checking to ensure all information is accurate.
- Manages the printing of all picking labels
- Responsible for distribution of all work and as directed by Manager
- Split pick tickets as needed
- Make adjustments in VM when orders are short shipped
- Prioritizes orders and work for team based customer orders, in order to avoid any discrepancies
- Responsible for and having all paperwork completed and added with all orders
- Identifies and communicates shipping issues to Manager of Picking & Receiving
- Responsible for routing, JCP, Navy & Marine orders for all customers and others as needed.
- Ensures completed special orders, such as the com. orders
- Responsible for pick bulk orders, such as Ross & Bealls Outlet
- Assisting with waving as well as manifesting orders as needed
- Audits chipping labels for accuracy, documents bill of Lading and are verified before handing freight to driver for Carrier picking up freight
- Responsible of new hire training
- Cancels orders in VM that were already dropped, as requested by the NY Team
- Supports Director of Distribution as needed
- Needs to meet customer criteria for all orders
- All other duties as assigned as needed
