Job Title: QA Inspector
Department: Quality Assurance
Reports To: QA Supervisor
Summary of Position:
QA Inspectors serve a critical function in the Quality Assurance Department, responsible for the performance and documentation of quality checks on the production line; such as, weight, product seal, perforation, sheet dimension, sheet count and labeling checks, as well as product leak tests.
Responsibilities:
Inspection of finished product, its labeling, packaging and all associated documentation, to ensure compliance to internal and customer requirements
Performing line clearance, prior to the start of scheduled production runs
Verification of all lot information on labeling, to ensure product code, lot number, expiration date, etc. are consistent with prescribed information on the work order
Detecting and communicating any out of specification or nonconforming results to the QA Supervisor immediately upon discovery
Pulling and logging in samples throughout each production run for microbial and analytical testing, as well as for sample retention
Performing and documenting in-process quality checks to ensure all in-process specifications are met
Assisting production personnel in complying with all relevant aspects of cGMP’s and Quality Assurance
Isolating and reconciling all nonconforming product and/or components, identified on the production line
Other related tasks may be assigned, as needed
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Able to read, comprehend, speak, and write in the English language
Working knowledge of the Spanish language preferred
Basic math skills
Experienced working in an FDA/GMP-regulated industry
Strong attention to detail, to ensure finished product meets required specifications
Effective in working both independently and in team settings
Adheres to company regulations and flexible to changes made within the company
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
