What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at PREMIER CARE PEDIATRICS?
We are a fun, fast paced, unique, independent pediatric office with a great support team! We are looking for a medical assistant (MA) to add to our highly valued medical staff.
The MA candidate MUST have graduated from an accredited medical assisting program. A CMA (AAMA) medical assistant would be preferred. The ideal medical assistant candidate will be expected to have cross-training to perform administrative and clinical duties.
The position includes benefits and other incentives! Position is Monday-Thursday 8am to 5pm with a 1-hour lunch. We are closed all Fridays and no weekend clinical hours or on call requirements.
Job duties will include care management for the physician practice, rooming patients to include obtaining vitals/intake, assist with physician procedures, and provide vaccines in office. The receptionist portion would include answering multi-line telephone, scheduling appointments/referrals, check patients in/out, take messages, scan documents into EHR (electronic health record), process fax in-box, process medical records requests; and other tasks as needed.
The successful candidate must have critical thinking skills, be flexible to cover the front desk and support the nursing team, be a great team player, able to adjust to varying situations, learn quickly, work well with children/families, co-workers and providers, display positivity, be comfortable administering vaccines, and is clinically competent and communicates effectively.

REQUIRED:
- Current Medical Assistant license or CMA(AAMA) certification.
