Premier Community HealthCare is seeking a Senior Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist to join our team in Dade City , Florida ! General Description :

The Senior Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist works directly with the L&D team, Human Resources and clinical leaders to identify skills needed to best support our patient population and promote organizational effectiveness. Design, develop, and implement training programs and education strategies that enhance clinical talent across Premier Community HealthCare Group.

This individual will independently work to improve training materials and methods for the care team supporting direct patient care. Will support the Operations Department with the implementation of standardization efforts and the roll out of clinical training strategies and ensure adoption. This role will travel to all Premier sites in Pasco and Hernando counties to work side-by-side with new hires throughout their first year of employment and support career ladder growth within the clinical teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Partners with the Assistant Vice President of Operations, Director of Nursing, and Director of Learning & Development in identifying clinical training needs and ensure training initiatives align with organizational priorities
  • Support new hires that provide direct patient care, provide competency assessments, and design effective onboarding plans
  • Work independently to design and implement effective training plans tailored to the unique needs of new hires and experienced staff
  • Collaborate with Clinical and Operational Leadership to find, assess, prioritize, and address training and development needs to improve outcomes
  • Find issues and recommend solutions in collaboration with care team members
  • Collaborate and develop clinical curriculum for training department for new hire orientation and continued education.
  • Create training plans, programs, and workshops for clinical staff. Including conducting train-the-trainer workshops for clinical leads to optimize their effectiveness.
  • Provide coaching and be a resource for clinical leads and leadership. Support performance management efforts and provide insight on building individual development plans. Train on facilitation skills and understanding different learning styles.
  • Motivate, recognize and engage staff. Promote a positive learning environment and a culture of accountability.
  • Oversee multidisciplinary education and training to effectively evaluate workflows to help care team members. Be a resource for care team members on clinical and laboratory processes, policies and procedures
  • Monitoring clinical lead members' performance to ensure duties are completed accurately, efficiently, and prompt
  • Build trust and create a safe environment for the care team to provide feedback and ask questions
  • Subject matter expert in EHR and workflows to operationally support clinical team
  • Conduct quality assurance audits and shadow workflows to provide recommendations for process improvement and development plans.
  • Actively take part in strategy, delivery and implementation efforts of Premier Community HealthCare
  • Promote service to others and coach CTMs on providing accessible healthcare for all and service excellence
  • Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
  • Keep other care team members informed when situations occur that disrupt timely patient flow through site.
  • Contribute to community give back initiatives and be an advocate for Premier’s mission
  • Adhere to patient care needs and the core values of Premier Community HealthCare to provide best-in-class patient experience
  • Work towards attaining department goals and drive Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI / QA)
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Exceptional presentation skills. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions and describe complex processes in easy-to-understand language to varying audiences.
  • Ability to train others and adjust to different learning and communication styles
  • Ability to effectively navigate and enter data into an EHR; and use Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and keep effective working relationships with patients and care team members.
  • Models best-in-class service excellence and displays enthusiasm towards L&D, Premier’s mission and vision.
  • Solid project management, time management, and change management skills. Must be able to manage multiple projects and development plans at once.
  • Maintains confidentiality within the workplace with all written and verbal communications about patients, staff, and community operations.
  • Stays current and keep strict adherence to all State, federal, HIPAA, PCHG and accreditation agency rules and regulations
  • Updates job knowledge by taking part in educational opportunities, support personal networks, and take part in professional organizations
  • Proficient understanding of medical terminology and documentation.
  • Ability to use basic mathematical skills.

  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health care administration, education or college program deemed relevant by Human Resources
  • Certified Medical Assistant with 1 year of clinical training, lead, or operational planning experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and teams, along with experience training others
  • Obtain and support Epic certification and annual compliance training throughout employment

  • Able to perform repetitive tasks
  • Monday-Friday 7 : 00am-4 : 00pm
