Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure systematic monitoring and evaluation of the various Premier Community Supports (PCS) service elements to ensure that standards of quality are being met and PCS policies, State, and Federal regulations are being followed.

Standards of Performance
1. To manage ethically and consistently with the Premier Mission Statement and Policy and Procedures.
2. To complete tasks effectively and efficiently according to Premier’s most current Standard Operating Procedures.
3. To ensure PCS compliance with government mandate by acting in Good Faith and Sound Financial Judgement.
4. Consistently demonstrates and incorporates principals of safety for self and others in daily activities and ensures participation in Premier safety programs. Attends required safety training and participate in safety drills and exercises. Ensures tools and equipment are always in good working order and uses equipment safely.
5. Requires punctual and regular attendance.
6. Performs job duties in a prompt, thorough, acceptable manner and includes meeting or exceeding any deadlines provided.
7. Works cooperatively with all Premier staff members, State and Federal contacts, Community Developmental Disability Programs, and other persons contacted during performing duties. Shows respect and sensitivity to others.
8. Always complies with Federal and State laws regarding HIPAA Privacy Law and confidentiality.
9. Safeguards Premier property and reports any incident of theft, fraud, waste, or unauthorized possession of company property.
Essential Duties
Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with duties outlined below:
1. Auditing Records: Responsible for working with the QA Manager to ensure that all PCS policies and government mandates are being followed accurately, are current, and meet or exceed minimum requirements. This includes, but not limited to: DSP and Individuals-Served/families’ information, Service Agreements, Protocols, Medication Administration Records, Progress Notes, EVV compliance, safety information, documentation, and training. Assists in identifying additional areas that need to be monitored.
2. Reports: Responsible for running reports and effectively translating, communicating, and documenting the findings of any deficiencies in identified areas to Quality Assurance Manager and offering suggestions on correcting them.
3. Training: Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with training new Quality Assurance staff, as well as retraining current staff as needed.
4. Protocol/Safety Plan Reviews: Responsible for auditing all protocols and safety plans initially upon completion and annually thereafter, for coordinating with County Managers on any needed edits and notifying the Quality Assurance Manager for any past due and incomplete protocols and safety plans.
5. Relationship Management: Learn and manage complex relationships with PCS Staff, Community Developmental Disability Programs, interested community members, and any other government agencies.
6. Safety: Responsible for knowing and implementing the internal safety practices of PCS.
7. Office Management: Manage phone calls, walk-ins and meetings, emails, text, ability to observe efficient time management, and attend assigned meetings.
8. Other Duties: Ability to perform and complete any additional tasks/projects as assigned.

Education and Experience
1. 1 year in Human Services Preferred
2. 1 year working with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Requires a functional understanding of local human service agency operations.
2. Possess effective conflict resolution skills, problem solving skills, deductive reasoning, and leadership skills.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills using tact, courtesy, and cooperativeness.
4. Computer experience, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and ability to use standard office equipment and software.
5. Ability to perform basic math functions.
6. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
7. Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, ingenuity, and initiative.
8. Ability to perform instruction, monitoring and assessment of the work of others.
9. Ability to travel locally and out of the area.
