Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Crew Foreman to lead our construction team in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and the ability to effectively manage resources. As a Crew Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a positive work environment.
Core Responsibilities:
Daily Operations & Safety:
- Ensure all tasks are executed safely for both crew members and client property.
- Provide crew members with daily goals and tasks.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
Communication & Reporting:
- Provide daily logs detailing completed work, crew attendance, and issues encountered.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors, relaying necessary information to the Project Manager (PM) or Project Coordinator (PCA) via Contractor Foreman.
Scheduling & Planning:
- Read blueprints and drawings to develop project schedules.
- Create and manage daily and forecast schedules.
- Provide the PM/Office with schedule updates via Contractor Foreman.
Task Assignment & Supervision:
- Assign tasks to crew members and monitor progress.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
Material & Equipment Management:
- Order and coordinate deliveries of common materials (e.g., lumber, sheathing, drywall, roofing, siding).
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and job sites.
- Create material lists and coordinate deliveries as needed.
- Maintain and submit equipment and tool maintenance logs.
Vehicle & Tool Maintenance:
- Provide weekly vehicle maintenance logs.
- Ensure auxiliary tasks are completed by crew members, including cleaning truck beds and cabs, monitoring inventory, and checking vehicle tires and fluids.
Crew Management:
- Ensure crew members clock in and out correctly and on time.
- Conduct initial employee reviews and manage disciplinary actions (e.g., probation reviews, quarterly reviews, and write-ups).
- Relay information from the crew mailbox and ensure timely delivery of hard copy receipts.
- Identify crew training needs and facilitating on-the-job training.
- Resolve minor conflicts among crew members to maintain a productive work environment.
Quality Control & Client Satisfaction:
- Provide project punch lists as projects near completion.
- Ensure punch list items are addressed promptly to maintain client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and budgeting practices.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining safety standards on-site.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
