Premier Dental has an opening for a Registered Dental Hygienist in Omaha, NE. We are looking for someone who is excited about using the latest & most up-to-date technology and is passionate about sharing their knowledge about oral health! In exchange, you will work with a large & FUN hygiene team made up of a dedicated Hygiene Coordinator, Hygiene Assistants, and a team of 50 professionals to assist you! Responsibilities
- Provide superior patient care and service; exhibit outstanding customer service and hospitality, as well as chair-side manners
- Take radiographs of patients using standard dental radiographic equipment
- Perform a wellness scan with an Itero
- Perform bacteria reduction with an initiated and uninitiated laser tip (training provided if certification not already held)
- Stay on schedule as much as possible to create no patient wait time; help manage patient flow; maintain time flexibility for patients; be present, engaged, and ready to work at all assigned shift times.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, health, disease, procedures, and services; establish/communicate continued care.
- Applying preventive materials to the teeth, such as fluorides and sealants
- Verify patient health history and document appropriately in patients chart.
- Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
- Perform the following duties as applicable by practice and/or state laws:
- Screen for Oral Cancer
- Take and record patients' blood pressure accurately
- Maintain accurate and legible notes in patients' chart
- Assist with other office duties as requested or needed
Qualifications
- Registered Dental Hygienist with a current NE license
- Current CPR Certification
- Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training as required by law
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Close attention to detail
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage time in a busy environment
- Thrives in a team-based environment
