REPORT TO : Front Office Manager
Job Summary
Responsible for patient check-in & check-out, while reviewing patient chart to verify necessary information. Will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, making phone calls, collecting co-pays and balances due. To be successful in this position, associates must always be cheerful, friendly, polite, and professional in appearance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience

Patient Check-In / Check-Out
Responsible for patient check-in and check-out, greeting each patient in a pleasant and professional manner.Tracks patients in the reception area and communicates with them as needed.Evaluates chart data to verify all information has been received and completed, and signatures obtained.Photocopies patient insurance cards and photo ID.Enter all new patient demographic information into the computer.Schedules appointments to optimize patient satisfaction.Collects co-pays and balances due.Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits when needed.Assists patients with insurance and billing questions.Administrative
Place telephone calls to confirm upcoming appointments and verify information required of the patient at the time of appointment.Place telephone calls to no-show appointments; reschedules as needed.Provides back-up support on telephones and KlaraInspects reception room for neatness.Performs other duties as required.Assists other front office personnel as needed.Cross train to telephone scheduling position.Requirements :
