Sonographer (Cardiology)

Position: Sonographer (Cardiology)

Reports To: Regional Manager

Summary: The Cardiac Sonographer (Echocardiology) will function as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serve as a medical imaging professional who provides clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients, specifically using ultrasounds and echocardiograms to capture images of patients’ hearts and vascular function.

Primary Responsibilities/Duties (include but are not limited to):

Scans Routinely Performed:

• 2D echocardiogram
• Stress echocardiogram

• Thoroughly explain the examination procedures to patients in a friendly, comforting manner
• Perform scanning test/functions according to ordering physician's requisition
• Execute protocols established by the Practice Manager and other physicians consistently
• Set up and clean all scanning equipment and work area prior to seeing first patient
