Position: Sonographer (Vascular)
Reports To: Regional Manager
Summary: The Sonographer will function as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serve as a medical imaging professional who provides clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Primary Responsibilities/Duties (include but are not limited to):
Scans routinely performed:
- Carotid duplex
- Arterial exams including ABI, SDP and PVR
- Upper and lower venous for DVT
- Arterial grafts
- Dialysis fistulas
- Venous Insufficiency
- Venous Duplex of upper and lower extremities
- Arterial Duplex of upper and lower extremities
- Segmental Doppler pressures of upper and lower extremities
- ABI
- Thoroughly explain the examination procedures to patients in a friendly, comforting manner
- Perform scanning test/functions according to ordering physician's requisition
- Execute protocols established by the Practice Manager and other physicians consistently
- Set up and clean all scanning equipment and work area prior to seeing first patient
