Overview: The Custodian is responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of Premier Distributing Company’s building and grounds and is under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager.
Duties of the Job
- Empty all trash daily.
- Vacuum all offices and conference rooms thoroughly; make sure areas under desks are vacuumed.
- Vacuum all chairs once a week. Vacuum edges of desks and file cabinets that cannot be reached with large vacuum.
- Clean sinks and coffee areas daily.
- All baseboards are to be cleaned every Monday.
- Wash windows and doors, vacuum rug, sweep and mop tile floor in the entry way.
- Sweep and mop floors in all bathrooms as well as clean sinks and toilet areas; replenish supplies.
- Sweep sidewalks and curbs in the parking lot.
- Clean loading docks and offices in the warehouse.
Special Duties
- Strip, wax and buff floors as needed.
- Steam clean carpets as deemed necessary.
- Wash office windows in State offices (inside and out) once a month.
- Order supplies as required for maintenance.
Qualifications
General Eligibility Requirements of the Job
- Work experience requirement: experience operating floor maintenance equipment
- Education requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- Training or special skills requirement: None
- Age requirement: Must be at least 21 years old
- License(s)/certification(s) required: Class D Driver's License
- Driving record requirement: No more than 2 moving violations within three years. No DWI convictions.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds repetitively.
