Learning and Sharing Child Development Center in New Cumberland is a licensed childcare center seeking a Lead Kindergarten Teacher!
To beQUALIFIED for this position, we require 2500 hours of experience working with or around children. Bachelor's degree in human services, preferably early education or elementary education. Only teachers holding a valid Pennsylvania professional teaching certificate a private academic teaching certificate or a private academic temporary approval certificate. Preferred PK-4 teaching certificate or K-6 teaching certificate.
Required Shift:Monday - Friday, 7:45am-4:45pm
Compensation: $18-$19/hr., based on education and experience

- Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
- Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
- Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
- Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
- Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
