Kid's First in Knoxvilleis a licensed childcare center seeking a Bus Driver! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education.
To beQUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, valid driver license and the ability to pass all background checks. Must be 21 years of age, hold F-class endorsement and experience driving a 15-passenger bus.
Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 1:30pm-4:30pm
Compensation: $15-$16/hr., based on education and experience

- Transport children daily while following state regulations and health regulations pertaining to duties.
- Follow proper protocol and submit required paperwork to Director in a timely manner.
- Communicate with parents effectively both written and verbally.
- Support coordinating field trips and communicate logistics, procedures and expectations to administration, teachers, and parents.
- Mentor and train substitute Bus drivers to cover absences.
- Maintain the vehicle according to state regulations.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe bus.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
