Lead School Age/Summer Camp Teacher

A Child's Place of Antioch is a licensed childcare center seeking Summer Camp Lead Teachers to support our summer school age program.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a CDA or higher education in Early Childhood or Elementary Ed.and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous experience with school age children!This is a full-time, seasonal position.

Employment Dates: May 19 - August 22

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm

Compensation: $18 - $21/hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate using current curriculum guides. 
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom. 
• Provide additional supervision of children during field trips and off-site activities.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
