JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. As an Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the optometrist in providing excellent patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include performing various administrative tasks, assisting with patient communication, and maintaining accurate medical records.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
- Perform basic optical tasks such as frame adjustments and repairs
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Handle billing inquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience working in a medical office or optometry practice preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with front desk operations, including scheduling appointments
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Basic knowledge of optical procedures and retail sales experience is a plus
