JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. As an Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the optometrist in providing excellent patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include performing various administrative tasks, assisting with patient communication, and maintaining accurate medical records.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
  • Perform basic optical tasks such as frame adjustments and repairs
  • Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
  • Handle billing inquiries
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working in a medical office or optometry practice preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Familiarity with front desk operations, including scheduling appointments
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
  • Basic knowledge of optical procedures and retail sales experience is a plus
