  • Day Shift (7:00 am 7:30 pm) with 10% differential for a compressed workweek
  • Night Shift (7:00 pm 7:30 am) with 15% differential for a compressed workweek

Overview
Are you ready to work hands-on with photolithography semiconductor manufacturing equipment? As an Engineering Technician IV, you will provide vital customer support for onsite installations, repairs, and maintenance of photolithography semiconductor equipment in Hillsboro, Oregon. This is a unique opportunity to join a team at the forefront of technology, enhancing processes in a pre-production setting. Training will be provided in Austin, Texas, or Hillsboro, Oregon, for 1-3 months.

Note: This role requires a compressed workweek schedule, and flexibility to adjust as needed. Full-time presence at the assigned worksite is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure factory-standard operation and maintenance of semiconductor equipment
  • Instruct customers on the equipments usage and maintenance
  • Act as the primary liaison with customers for installations and major component replacements
  • Independently and collaboratively execute complex repairs and maintenance tasks per factory procedures
  • Provide technical assistance to customers, addressing equipment issues to reduce downtime
  • Document activities accurately and generate periodic reports
  • Train customer personnel to ensure effective service and operational proficiency
  • Collaborate with field technicians to troubleshoot and maintain equipment

Qualifications
This customer-facing role requires adherence to customer protocols, which may include COVID-19-related requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience (technical or military training, technical school) with 5-7 years of related experience
  • Proficiency with Linux OS preferred for equipment operations and troubleshooting
  • Minimum of 3 years in semiconductor manufacturing or a related field
  • Strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience with electronic testing tools
  • Ability to work independently or within a team in challenging environments
  • Additional skills in optics, lasers, software, robotics, or precision mechanical operations are a plus
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities, along with strong communication skills
  • Previous customer support experience is advantageous

Additional Information

  • Must be willing to travel and work a flexible schedule
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment (requiring a full cleanroom suit, facemask, gloves, and safety glasses)
  • May involve both domestic and international travel (valid driver's license required)
  • Must comply with company-driving safety policies
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 30 pounds (assistance provided for heavier lifting), significant standing, walking, typing, and occasional kneeling, crouching, or ladder use
  • Close visual acuity is needed for inspecting small parts and performing precise assembly work
  • Work conditions may include proximity to moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, UV light, lasers, and confined spaces

Salary : $40 - $60
