Estimator and Project Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimating Manager to lead our estimating team in the construction sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to effectively negotiate contracts and prices. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate cost control and delivering competitive bids that align with our company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the estimating process for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all estimates.
• Utilize software tools such as Stack to create detailed cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate bids.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
• Negotiate contract terms and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive rates.
• Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to maintain budget integrity.
• Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance on best practices in construction estimating.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management regarding estimates and project costs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of project management principles.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successfully managing contracts and pricing agreements.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost assessments.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of construction management processes and methodologies is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex information.
