Mechanical Reliability Engineer

We have partnered with an advanced material solutions company in the panhandle of Texas. We are seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join the technical team responsible for maintenance and safety.
The Mechanical Reliability Engineer will focus on enhancing the reliability of unit operations, managing small capital projects, and driving initiatives to improve efficiency & operational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and execution of strategies to enhance equipment reliability by collaborating with Operations and Maintenance teams.
- Oversee the plant’s Mechanical Integrity Reliability Program, lead problem-solving teams, and implement maintenance standards.
- Analyze KPI reports and SAP historical data to identify underperforming process areas and implement asset management strategies.
- Improvement proactive maintenance plans, equipment modifications, capital investments, and adjustments to operating procedures.
- Assess and apply effective preventive maintenance schedules and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Assist in training development for craftsmen (best practices, power transmission alignment and maintenance, vibration analysis, material handling)
- Communicate with equipment suppliers to improve equipment reliability.
- Provide technical support for projects (<$100K)
- Assist in maintenance of equipment and offer troubleshooting assistance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2 years of experience with mechanical reliability
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Success with project management
- Experience with SAP PM preferred
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
- Welding experience is a must
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
