As our business expands, we are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our shipping department. This is a critical role that ensures our customers receive their purchases promptly and in excellent condition.
Position Overview: The Shipping Department Associate is responsible for packing, labeling, and shipping auction items to our customers. Prior experience is helpful, but training will be provided. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carefully pack and prepare items for shipping, ensuring they are protected and secure.
- Print and affix shipping labels accurately to packages.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Track and manage inventory of shipping supplies.
- Assist with receiving and unpacking incoming shipments.
- Communicate with the auction team to ensure all items are shipped correctly and on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with shipping software and email.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Flexibility to assist in other departments as needed.
