Job Description:
The Patient Relations Specialist acts as a primary point of contact for people screened at our Health & Wellness events, identifying their interests and needs, and converting them into patients within the practice. This role requires strong communication between patients and medical specialists and plays a vital role in supporting marketing efforts and the business development team.
Responsibilities:
Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
Patient Education: Provide and promote information about our medical services, procedures, and practice offerings at our Health Screening Events.
Building Rapport: Establishing a trusting and friendly relationship with patients, making them feel comfortable and understood, leading to successful conversions.
Follow-Ups: Conduct daily follow-up calls with leads from events, identify their needs, and convert them into scheduled office appointments.
Documentation: Keep precise records of patient interactions, concerns, and outcomes, ensuring all details are accurately logged.
Tracking: Monitor and track conversion of appointments and procedures resulted from screening events.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in healthcare, public health, or marketing is a plus.
- Previous experience in medical/surgical services, healthcare, or patient relations preferred.
- Persistence in following up with leads, showing your commitment to helping them, and maintaining the relationship even after the initial interaction.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with electronic medical records, ECW preferred.
- Willingness to travel to off-site locations for health screening events.
