Patient Care Technician/Health Unit Coordinator (PCT/HUC) Role Overview
Job Summary:
The PCT/HUC role combines the essential responsibilities of a Patient Care Technician and Health Unit Coordinator into one position that functions based on operational needs. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will perform technical and clinical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
This role requires a multi-skilled individual who can identify abnormal findings based on established standards and guidelines, reporting them to the Registered Nurse. Key responsibilities include coordinating communication, data entry, and stocking/ordering supplies, as well as providing clerical assistance to physicians and staff.
As a PCT/HUC, you will provide direction and guidance to patients, families, and visitors while promoting a positive patient experience. This role is performed under the oversight of the RN in coordination with other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
