- Perform preventive maintenance for electrical, plumbing and mechanical
- Perform repairs on various equipment in the facility
- Assist the Maintenance Director to comply with state and local regulations
- Operate common hand tools
- Look for, report on and repair safety concerns
- 2 years experience in building and preventive maintenance required
- Mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing system experience (a plus)
- Plumbing work - works with a variety of plumbing, replaces valves, pipes, etc.
- Does basic repair and maintenance on items such as beds, lifts, stands, wheelchairs, etc.
- Performs basic carpentry, painting, drywall and finish work
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- A dependable, kind and energetic demeanor
- SNF regulations and disaster preparedness knowledge preferred
- Self-motivated and can function as an "in charge" person when necessary
