What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse supervisor 3:00pm -11:00pm position at Premier Healthcare, LLC?
We seek experienced R.N.Supervisors who are currently a Unit Manager, RN Supervisor or Charge Nurse who has gained the care coordination and nursing staff management experience necessary to be effective for the following shifts: 3pm-11pm Monday through friday.
Chestnut Hill Lodge is a 181 bed skilled nursing facility offering rehabilitation and long term care services. The facility has made significant improvements in the client base, delivery of care, staffing and annual state survey results.
Position responsibilities include:
Working with the Staffing Coordinator to ensure adequate staffing levels for the evening and overnight shifts; contacting staffing agencies directly to secure needed staff in the absence of the Staffing Coordinator.
Frequently making rounds through the facility (nursing and non-nursing areas) to assess residents, interact with residents and their families, observe, educate, coach and counsel nursing staff toward consistently excellent levels of performance as well as to monitor operational aspects of the facility such as the security of exterior doors, laundry preparedness to deliver enough towels, linens, etc. for residents use during morning care, etc.
Respond to emergencies; assess the condition of the resident; decide the type of medical attention required, call the appropriate ambulance service when the resident is transferred to a hospital; notify the DON/Physician when there is a change in the resident’s condition and also to notify the resident’s family when appropriate.
Handle admissions and discharges with the support of the Charge Nurse staff.
Position requirements include:
2 or more years of nursing management experience in a long term/rehabilitation facility.
A current Registered Nurse license from Pennsylvania.
Experience using PointClickCare or similar healthcare information system.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and management skills
