Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring any changes in health status are reported promptly.
- Provide direct support to clients with mobility challenges, including lifting and transferring as needed.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including those related to dementia care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
- Administer first aid when necessary and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong skills in patient observation and the ability to recognize changes in client conditions.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and basic first aid techniques.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to provide direct support while maintaining dignity and respect for clients.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards clients.
- Must be able to lift and assist clients as required for their safety and comfort.
