Job Title: HR Manager
Reports To: Director of Human Resources
Job Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing key aspects of the human resources function, including onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, employee appreciation, benefits administration, and overall support for HR operations. This role works closely with the Director of Human Resources to ensure smooth HR operations, contribute to a positive work environment, and support the organization's overall goals. The HR Manager must be well-versed in HRIS systems and have a working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (WFN), though familiarity with other systems is acceptable.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including the completion of paperwork, conducting orientation, and ensuring all necessary equipment and resources are provided.
- Work with various departments to ensure a smooth transition for new hires into the organization.
Offboarding:
- Manage the offboarding process for employees leaving the company, including exit interviews, final paperwork, and coordination of return of company property.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and company policies during the termination process.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing concerns and providing support related to workplace issues.
- Help foster a positive work culture by promoting open communication and resolving conflicts.
- Provide guidance on performance management, employee grievances, and disciplinary actions in line with company policies.
Employee Appreciation:
- Develop and implement programs and initiatives to recognize and appreciate employees' contributions.
- Coordinate company-wide or team-specific events to boost morale and enhance employee engagement.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist with the enrollment and administration of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefits-related questions and issues.
- Support the annual benefits open enrollment process.
HRIS System Management:
- Maintain employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Generate reports and analytics from the HRIS system to assist in decision-making and improve HR processes.
- Ensure the HRIS system is updated regularly with changes to employee status, benefits, compensation, etc.
General HR Support:
- Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives as assigned by the Director of HR.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices in all HR functions.
- Support recruitment, performance management, and employee development efforts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in an HR role, with a focus on onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration.
- Strong familiarity with HRIS systems; experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) is preferred but not required.
- Solid understanding of labor laws, HR best practices, and employee relations principles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours may vary depending on business needs.
