Description of Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing and processing payroll submittals for corporate and home health staff on a bi-weekly basis and managing other payroll operations, as needed, to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely payments for all employees.

Responsibilities include the following:
- In conjunction with our payroll processing company, ADP, prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 350 employees, including our Home Health staff.
- Process off-cycle checks, including commission, bonus and final checks.
- In conjunction with ADP manage other payroll operations such as setting up new states and processing wage garnishments.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments, as necessary, to validate payroll information such as new hires, terminations, and personnel changes.
- Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately.
- Serve as the payroll expert to ensure compliance with multi-state payroll laws and requirements, and stay updated on changes to payroll laws and regulations.
- Manage and maintain accurate and complete payroll records.
- Acts as point of contact for employees and Accounting department in reference to payroll.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data, including time sheets and payroll reports, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.
- Implement changes to payroll process through the ADP portal, including adding deduction codes and earnings codes.
- Assist with auditing, reporting, and documentation for government-mandated compliance requirements.
- Prepare, submit and audit payroll-related reports, including tax filings and benefits reconciliations.
- Support 401(k) reporting and auditing.
- Comply with and adhere to the standards of this role as required by ACHC, Board of Pharmacy, Board of Nursing, Home Health Guidelines (Title 22), Medicare, Infusion Nurses Society, NHIA and other regulatory agencies, as applicable.
- Utilizes critical thinking to ensure accuracy of payroll and appropriate escalate issues to the Accounting Manager.
- Participates in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
- Participate in the pharmacy’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.
- Participate in Pharmacy committee when requested.
- Participate in in-service education programs provided by the Pharmacy.
- Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 years of proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, certification as a Certified Payroll Professional highly desirable
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Office, and Excel
- Strong understanding of payroll principals, law, and compliance standards
- Experience in multi-state payroll processing.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, problem solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- One-year office experience required; medical or home health experience preferred
- Computer skills that include word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail using Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills, with ability to appropriately discuss sensitive information.
- Able to work collectively with administration and staff
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Education and/or Experience:
- Must have a High School diploma or Graduation Equivalent Diploma (G.E.D.)
- Prior experience in a pharmacy or home health company is of benefit.
- Prior experience in payroll in a consumer related business is also of benefit.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
