Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service. Candidates with experience in commercial driving, warehouse operations, or route driving will be preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Follow designated routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in courier services is advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Experience with route driving or moving is beneficial but not mandatory.
