What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beach Club Maintenance Technician position at Premier Island Management Group?
- Summary of the main function/purpose of the position: The main responsibility of this position is to maintain proper maintenance and cleanliness of the common areas in the tower and grounds, and perform simple maintenance and repairs.
Key Principal duties/responsibilities (5-8):
- Tower maintenance
- Homeowner unit maintenance work orders
- Completing monthly minor maintenance agreements (MMA) in condo units for owners who are on the program
- Parking garage maintenance and cleaning
- Common area (hallways/stairwells/lobbies) maintenance and some cleaning
- Simple repairs such as touch-up paint, locks repairs, light bulb changes, exit signs, and ballast changes.
- Assist Maintenance Manager with tower inspections and weekly checks (fire pump test, generator test, domestic pumps, etc.). Perform these in the absence of the Maintenance Manager
- Grounds maintenance and cleaning
Occasional duties or projects which may be performed at irregular intervals:
- Opening unit doors for vendors and watching them in units
- Unloading trucks
- Moving material
- Storm preparation
- Other duties as assigned by the management

Records: Daily time trackers/tower checklists
Safety: Perform all assigned tasks safely
Customer Service: Assist customers with any questions/requests
Dept. Specific: Common area maintenance and cleaning

V. Educational and/or equivalence in experience requirements:
High school diploma required.
Specialized or technical educational requirements:
- General cleaning skills
- Simple maintenance skills: painting, drywall, light mechanical and electrical
Certification or licensing requirements:
Valid Florida Driver’s License

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and is required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk. The employee will be required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift to 50 lb.
