What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dumpster Technician position at Premier Island Management Group?
Hours/Days: Tuesday - Saturday, 7 am - 3;30 pm
At least 1 year of related experience: janitorial, trash removal, cleaning.
I. Summary of the main function/purpose of the position:
The main responsibility of this position is to maintain proper cleanliness of the dumpster areas in each tower and daily dumpster change.
II. Key Principal duties/responsibilities (5-8):
- Daily change of dumpsters in each tower using an electric pallet jack.
- Occasional parking garage cleaning and trash removal.
- Maintain cleanliness of all dumpster areas.
- Grounds cleaning.
- Maintain trash chutes and compactor equipment.
Occasional duties or projects which may be performed at irregular intervals:
- Unloading trucks
- Moving material
- Storm preparation
- Other duties as assigned by the management
III. Accountability: Areas in which the position is accountable/responsible:
Records: None.
Safety: Perform all assigned tasks safely.
Customer Service: Assist customers with any questions/requests.
Dept. Specific: Common area cleaning and trash handling.
IV. Supervisory Responsibility:
- None
V. Educational and/or equivalence in experience requirements:
- A high school diploma is required.
Specialized or technical educational requirements:
- General cleaning skills.
- Simple mechanical skills, ability to operate power equipment (electric pallet jack, pressure washer).
Certification or licensing requirements:
- Valid Florida Driver’s License.
VI. Specialized equipment or machines used in the course of the duties of the position.
- Electric pallet jack, pressure washer.
VII. Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands and is required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk. The employee will be required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
