What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Runner position at Premier Island Management Group?
Hours/Days: 10 am - 9 pm, 10 am - 4 pm, 12 pm - 9 pm, 4 pm - 10 pm Monday - Sunday
Need to be able to deliver food to restaurants, pool chairs as well as delivery to the towers and units. Take out trash, keep work area clean able to restock work area, and help with dishes when needed.
Summary of the main function/purpose of the position:
A food runner’s main purpose is to serve food orders, remove dishes and utensils, and help with trash removal, stocking, and maintaining the expo area. They are also responsible for delivering to-go orders to rooms as well as providing positive customer service.
Key Principal duties/responsibilities:
- Complete the opening/closing checklist
- Follow the company’s non-negotiable by greeting and welcoming guest
- Have knowledge of food items
- Deliver food orders to guests (in the Restaurant, on the Pool Deck(s) at the Bar, or to the Unit)
- Act as a point of contact for back/front of the house providing them with any supplies needed to properly do their job
- Communicate orders to cooks as well as prepping those orders for delivery
- Ensure food is delivered in accordance with safety protocols
- Clear and clean tables as guests finish up their meals
- Keep surrounding areas clean
- Ensure prepared orders are accurate and delivered in a timely manner
- Be knowledgeable of hygiene and food safety rules
- Ability to remain calm in fast-paced working environments
