- Summary of the main function/purpose of the position:
The Recreation supervisor will work with the Director of Kids Programming as they will oversee and manage all activities and bring a sense of fun and professionalism that will drive the experience for all guests.
Key Principal duties/responsibilities (5-8):
Drive Culture and employee and guest morale
Authoritative and ability to lead and direct others
Ability to lead and drive activities of Kids Club, Tie Dye, kids corners, island-style fun, bonfires, and other resort-wide activities
Work closely with the Director on sales goals and creating new ideas
Inventory control
Ordering of products
Scheduling
Organization of department assets
Multitask and ability to be versatile and quick to react to situations, disruptive children, safety concerns, etc.
Occasional duties or projects which may be performed at irregular intervals:
Assisting with Director of Recreation, events, or Adventure Department
Being flexible and helping any department in need
Other duties assigned by the management
Lifting to 50lbs
Being able to adapt to unforeseen circumstances such as weather and still be able to create a great experience.

Safety: The safety of our guests is key in all activities.
Customer Service: Engaging with all guests on property, and ensuring guests have a fun, safe, interactive environment. We want to create memories and bring Loyalty beyond reason.
Dept. Specific: Hands-on management
Supervisory Responsibility:
Will be supervising counselors and children aged 5 to 12 years old for activities as well as working with Adventures staff. Oversee setup of events, ensure staffing needs are met for activities, and make sure we are working within the budget.
Educational and/or equivalence in experience requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Specialized or technical educational requirements:
Certification or licensing requirements:
CPR
AED
First Aid

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly participating in regular physical activity and may be lifting or carrying equipment for specific activities.
The physical demands are pretty extensive and must be able to keep children entertained and engage in activities and sports planned for the children.
