Job Title: Experienced Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant (Remote with In-Person Meetings)

Location: Work from Home (Occasional on-site meetings in person)

Job Type: Part-Time/Flexible Hours

Job Summary:

We are a small business looking for a reliable and experienced Bookkeeper who can manage our financial records and assist with administrative tasks. Since we do not have an in-house accounting team, this role is essential for keeping our finances organized and ensuring smooth operations. This is a remote position, but occasional in-person meetings will be required to review work and discuss business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking
  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports
  • Assist with payroll processing and tax filings
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical financial documents
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, document management, and other business-related tasks
  • Communicate regularly with the business owner to review financials and operational needs

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, or in a similar financial role
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial information clearly
  • Prior experience assisting small businesses is a plus
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
