The Premier Lacrosse League is a North American outdoor professional lacrosse league featuring the world’s 200 best players. ROLE SPECIFICS
The Premier Lacrosse League is seeking a Manager, Partnership Strategy to lead multiple revenue-generating workstreams and league initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Partnership Strategy, the candidate will support the Business Development team throughout the entire deal development process. This person is a storyteller who is both creative and analytical. A keen eye for formatting, editing, and design, this person is detail-oriented and is an experienced deck builder. This person can boil complex information down to its simplest and most digestible form.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage sponsorship inventory to ensure strategic deployment of assets
- Develop new slides for pitch decks/sales team based on the latest data, insights, sales assets, and partner opportunities
- Support sales team across the entire deal-making process including:
- Intake Meetings and Strategy
- Data and Insight Gathering (Need: Dissecting Data)
- Pitch Development (Need: Creative Juices)
- Deck Building (Need: Strong deckbuilding skills, an eye for design and detail– an understanding of Photoshop/Illustrator is a plus)
- Deal Valuation (Need: Comfortable with numbers and basic spreadsheets– an understanding of media planning is a plus)
- Inventory Management (Need: Strong Organizational Skills)
- Contract Development (Need: Strong Organizational Skills)
- Additional workstreams include, but not limited to: creation of partnership case studies, project management for annual Business Development Upfront, distribution of mass sales emails to industry leaders
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 4 years experience working in marketing, with a preference in sports/sports sponsorship
- Strong PPT / Google Slides deck-building skills
- A love for creative copywriting and storytelling
- Understanding of the sports sponsorship landscape
- Strategic thinker who can manage both short-term and long-term projects simultaneously
- Comfortable interacting with external parties
- Strong organization skills and ability to handle multiple workstreams concurrently
- Passion for the mission and values of the PLL
- Encourages creativity while developing new pitches and sales materials
