Position Location: Preferred that the candidate is based out of Denver, CO (in-office 3 days a week) but remote will be considered for the right candidate

Position Overview/Summary:
The Premier Lacrosse League seeks an experienced marketing manager to boost our PLL Play business unit’s overall market awareness and drive the business against strong growth targets. Our ideal candidate will have a successful track record of developing and executing marketing programs across both B2B and B2C segments via multiple marketing channels to gain brand awareness and acquire customers, all while delivering a high ROI.

You are passionate about solving puzzles and using creativity to find new ways to approach problems and quickly generate solutions. You understand and leverage physical events, legacy marketing channels, and emerging upstarts while using data to build high-performing marketing that is fully personalized to the target customer. You thrive on being hands-on and are excited to contribute to a growing sports division that is trailblazing the future of youth sports.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • B2B segment growth: 
    • Experience in crafting marketing and materials for business audiences
    • Extensive experience with Direct Mail marketing campaigns consisting of both print and gifting pieces
    • Detailed knowledge of the development and copy production for printed marketing materials consisting of brochures, takeaways, and promotional publications 
    • Working knowledge of Hubspot or similar platforms for B2B lead management and reporting
  • B2C Segment Growth: 
    • Experience in crafting rich and engaging consumer-focused campaigns targeting a broad spectrum of ages ranging from 12 to 55
    • Deep experience working with and driving requirements for a multi-functional creative team consisting of designers and social content editors.
    • Deep experience with developing content and design requirements for websites and microsites
    • Working knowledge of Braze or similar automated marketing platforms for campaign management, trigger-based campaigns, lead scoring, and reporting
  • Channel & Campaign Management:
    • Collaborate with marketing, creative and content teams, product development, data science, engineering, and ticket sales teams to turn marketing strategies into operational reality
    • Plan and launch marketing initiatives (both online and offline) to support various product lines, including programmatic, market research, content syndication, and other new and emerging products
  • Analytics:
    • Build and maintain a robust marketing data infrastructure, and innovate on customer engagement tactics, including identifying prospecting lead pools and lead scoring algorithms to provide actionable insights and behavior-driven marketing.
    • Monitor, measure, and analyze campaign performance to refine strategies, ensuring continuous improvement and maximum ROI.
  • Strategic Leadership & Growth:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive, full-funnel customer acquisition strategies.
    • Lead and inspire high-performance marketing teams, ensuring alignment with cross-functional organizational goals and growth targets.
    • Collaborate with C-level executives, sales, and product teams to design and implement integrated marketing campaigns 
  • Budget & Resource Management:
    • Must be creative working with tight budgets and looking to provide direction
    • Demonstrated success driving leads and hitting KPI targets 
    • Strong quantitative skills including forecasting ability and ROI analyses
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in performance marketing to continuously elevate campaign effectiveness

Experience and Skillset:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience (typically 5 years) in cross-channel, multi-segment marketing programs spanning both B2B and B2C audiences with tailored and customized approaches
  • Demonstrable success in building and scaling multiple simultaneous campaigns, complex acquisition strategies, and multi-channel brand messaging 
  • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in data management, reporting, and optimization tools
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with experience interfacing and building rapport with a broad spectrum of individuals from third-party actors all the way to C-level executives.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. Self-motivated. 
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the youth sports landscape with lacrosse-specific knowledge is a bonus

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in pre-IPO high-growth startups
  • Familiarity with direct and indirect customer acquisition strategies across in-person/live events, and digital and traditional media.
  • Previous exposure to both B2B and B2C marketing operations and/or managing cross-functional teams in multiple markets.

Compensation:
  • $80,000 - $85,000 Base Salary (Based on the candidate’s experience and seniority)
  • The total compensation package includes Commission and Bonus, Health, Life, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) plan, Equity Sharing, Unlimited PTO, and Paid Parental Leave
