The Maintenance Supervisor Position is responsible for maintaining the equipment in the facility to keep production running in a safe and efficient manner. This will be accomplished by leading and directing a maintenance team of various shifts. All activities will include coordinating activities with all department requirements. Assist in maintaining this FDA production facility with a focus on accountability and quality specifications. Assist technicians with troubleshooting problems, training, time estimation, and hands on maintenance activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
- Drive a “Safety First” culture within the Engineering and Maintenance group and throughout all facilities. This will include programs for Lock-out Tag-out, confined space, fall protection, lifting, rigging, safe de-energization of systems, and safe evaluation of special projects.
- Maintain and support health & safety, hazardous waste management systems, training & development of employees.
- Coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance Manager on the implementation of overall engineering and maintenance plans and programs daily.
- Drive our Preventative Maintenance Program through MaintainX software.
- Maintain spare parts inventory in relationship to projects and keeping equipment running at optimum efficiency.
- Prepare work schedules, attendance tracking, assign work orders, and oversee work to efficiently minimize overtime and call-in hours.
- Follow up/inspect the work of maintenance technicians for completeness and quality.
- Installs, maintains, rebuilds, and repairs a wide variety of machinery.
- Performs work and trouble shoot issues on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

- Prepare or assist in preparation of project specifications and conditions for bidding by outside contractors. Participate in analysis of bids and award of contract. Understand approved vendors and after-hours services for the service of the 365/24/7 operating plant.
- Provide technical guidance and training to operating personnel on operations and maintenance as needed. Research and communicate with vendors as needed.
- General knowledge of the complete process including DCS monitoring.

- 2-7 years of direct leadership experience plus 3-5 years of direct maintenance experience.
- Ability to interact and communicate well with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Strong problem solving/analytical skills to investigate and formulate recommendations and action plans.
- Demonstrated process improvement experience. Solid computer skills (MS Office). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Potential for some travel to other facilities / training, less than 5% of the time.
