Job Summary
A head instructor with Premier Martial Arts (PMA) is a person who has a passion for changing lives through day-to-day martial arts instruction. An outgoing and leadership-driven personality is a must. A person who can not only teach but more importantly inspire others to be their best version of themselves is required. A PMA instructor utilizes the tools given to them to impact as many people as possible and is always a student themselves. A learning attitude is key for the success of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead Instruction of High Energy, Benefit Driven, and “edutaining” classes
- Complete student tracking, rankings, and reporting to determine graduation windows and overall progress.
- Talent Management - Select, train, develop, and motivate additional class instructors. Lead through on-going communication, timely feedback, positive reinforcement, written evaluations and performance feedback. Address performance concerns.
- Lead the creation of curriculum that follows PMA guidelines for instruction.
- Organize and execute student graduation classes.
- Work with the Area/Studio Manager to complete class planning and management.
- Partner with the Program director to help drive marketing programs to increase student memberships.
- Assist with the execution of initiatives and activities including marketing campaigns and community/event sponsorships.
- Participate in special events as scheduled.

- Inclusion of Black Belt Excellence Life Lesson program
- Life Lesson BBE Mat Chats and Stripe Tests
- Training and Education of Instructor Management and Certified Instructor Training
- Performance Evaluation for all Instructors and Instructor Schedules / Hours
- Leadership and Retention Programs
- Teaches the Hybrid Trial class
- Demonstrates Class Management
- Defines BBW Principles
- Creates a State of Excitement
- Builds rapport during the greeting and preliminary session
- Participates in the train lesson with members
- Conducts the enrollment process
- Supports Sales & Class Leads
- Manages Admin actions during the hybrid trial lesson
- Provides member level support
