Medical Receptionist Job Responsibilities:
- Greets and Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone.
- Schedule appointments in person or by telephone.
- Register new patients; review forms to ensure required fields are completed.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal, insurance and financial information.
- Collect patient charges upon check in.
- Assist patients in answering questions or concerns, in person or on the telephone.
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Complete other clerical duties as assigned.
- Uphold the positive reputation of Centennial Medical Group by always treating patients and visitors in a friendly, welcoming and compassionate manner.
- Strong communication skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- High School Diploma
- 3 years experience
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Knowledge of computer and Microsoft Office applications
- Preference given to candidates with schedule flexibility to include some evenings and weekends
