Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Collect and verify patient information and patient payments, including insurance details and medical history.
- Maintain accurate records in the clinic's systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as data entry, and answering phone calls.
- Provide information about clinic services, procedures, and policies to patients.
- Handle inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care and ensure seamless communication.
- Assist patients with home sleep test devices and distribution of devices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role within a medical setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, clinic operations, and patient care practices is essential.
- Knowledge of physiology and emergency medicine is a plus.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems or similar software. Experience in eClinicalWorks (ECW) a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and staff members.
- Ability to maintain professionalism while managing sensitive information.
