Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist will work in a fast-paced hospital environment performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures. This technologist will be responsible for preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, and collaborating with radiologists to produce high-quality images.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining instructions, positioning them on the exam table, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Operate CT scanners, fluoroscopy units, and other medical imaging equipment to produce high-quality images and assist with interventional procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Maintain patient records, including medical histories, examination results, and treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Current certification as an R.T.(R)(I) or C.T.R.I. from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
