Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Assist in coding and billing processes for insurance claims.
- Support emergency medicine protocols as needed, particularly in high-stress situations.
Experience
- Knowledge of medical-surgical practices and procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, geriatrics, and emergency medicine is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably within a Level II Trauma Center or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Previous experience in patient service roles is an advantage.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training is preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
