Our Finance Department is looking to hire a Tax Accountant.

Job Title : Tax Accountant
Reports To : Chief Accounting Officer
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
Department : Accounting
Division : Retail
Salary Range : $85K to $94K per year
Summary :
The Tax Accountant is responsible for managing and preparing tax-related documents and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
- Prepare and review tax returns for Withholding, Franchise, and Sales taxes for various jurisdictions.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax filings, including income tax, sales tax, and other regulatory forms.
- Work with clients to gather necessary information for tax filings.
- Utilize software to keep up to date on tax laws and changes to ensure clients take advantage of available credits, deductions, and exemption.
- Maintain tracking of filing statues.
- Work with regulatory authorities to resolve tax-related issues or disputes.
- Assist in auditing activities by providing relevant tax-related information.
- Support clients during tax audits by preparing necessary documentation and representing them to tax authorities.
- Communicate with clients to explain tax requirements, provide updates, and answer tax-related questions.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
