What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT Technician position at Premier NDT Resources?
Premier NDT Resources (PNR) is looking for experienced Level 2 Inspectors! The PNR team provides NDT consulting, training, and services all over Alabama and the United States. We primarily focus on the following areas:
- NDT training in VT, PT, MT, UT, PAUT, RT
- Providing NDT consulting and Level 3 services in a wide array of industries including Space, Aerospace, Infrastructure, Construction, and many more
- Providing NDT inspection services either on a callout basis or in various nested positions
Job Summary:
The Level 2 Inspector will perform CWI, VT, PT, MT, CR, UT, and PAUT inspections as applicable on various components primarily at our Anniston, AL job location and secondarily at various locations around Alabama. This position is for weekend first shift, i.e. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 12 hour shifts. Work 36 hours and get paid for 40!
This position is open to qualified candidates looking to further their career into NDT inspections and ultimately, the training/consulting area of NDT.

Qualifications
NDT Qualifications:
- Be NAS 410 certifiable to Level 2 in Type I Stationary PT, Stationary Fluorescent MT Bench, Computed RT Cabinet X-Ray, has a valid radiographer's card, Longitudinal UT for Wrought Material
OR
- Hold a current CWI and be SNT-TC-1A certifiable to Level 2 in Shear Wave UT for Welds
All Candidates:
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge gained
- Must be VERY fluent in written and spoken English
- Ability to lift 50 pounds to a height of 3-4 feet
- Have a strong desire to learn
Desired Qualifications:
- Be ready to transition into a Level 3 by having at least 4 years or equivalent documented experience as a Level 2 in at least 4 of the following methods: PT, MT, RT, CR, DRT, UT, PAUT, TOFD, ET, VT, TIR, LT
- Hold a current ASNT NDT Level 3 in any of the methods above
- Ability to teach/consult in the methods above and / or willingness to learn to teach these methods
- Desire to become a Level 3 in multiple methods
- Be capable and willing to step into a sales/management role
