Job Overview
Premier NeuroSpine Institute is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Finance and Healthcare Analytics to oversee all financial aspects of our practice while also leading the collection, analysis, and interpretation of financial and operational data. This role combines the oversight of financial management with the ability to leverage business analytics to drive performance improvements and support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure the practice remains financially healthy by identifying areas for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Financial Analytics: Utilize financial data to analyze business performance, identify trends, and provide insights to optimize decision-making. Develop and implement business intelligence tools and dashboards for tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Strategic Planning: Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to develop long-term financial strategies, leveraging data insights to support decisions on pricing, expansion, and resource allocation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Present financial results and key performance metrics to the leadership team.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts. Ensure that the practice stays within budget and meets financial targets.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and tax laws. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the practice’s financial assets and ensure data accuracy.
- Cash Flow & Investment Management: Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and investment decisions. Manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance and business analytics team, ensuring effective communication, development, and performance management. Support the growth and development of accounting staff and data analysts.
- Financial Strategy: Provide strategic recommendations to improve profitability, optimize operations, and maximize financial resources. Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in healthcare finance, with at least 3-5 years in a management or leadership role. Experience in business analytics or data-driven decision-making is highly preferred.
- Certifications: CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certifications preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Expertise in business analytics, financial modeling, and data visualization.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software and financial systems such as QuickBooks
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and opportunities based on data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial and data insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and tax laws specific to healthcare practices.
