PNWK Forest School is hiring Assistant Summer Camp Teachers for our Lake Stevens location.
Tuesday through Friday
8:40 am to 12:45 pm
Lake Stevens Community Park
Pay $20 to $22 depending on experience
Duties with Children
- Make sure the children are safe, maintaining visual and auditory supervision at all times
- Model appropriate behaviors by interacting with children in a supportive and open-minded manner
- Support social-emotional growth using positive, respectful and developmentally appropriate language
- Assist lead in maintaining class schedule and responding to class needs
Professional Expectations
- Positively project the mission, goals, philosophy and policies of the preschool to families, staff and community
- Regularly arrive for work on time and prepared for the day
- Work positively with team and maintain open and respectful communication
Qualifications
- At least one year experience working with groups of children
- Excellent executive functioning skills, strong multi-tasker
- Loves working with young children and is energetic and passionate about working one-on-one with children, as well as with groups of children
- Be able to crouch down, bend down and stand outside in varying weather for long periods of time.
- Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively in an all outdoor, all weather setting
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) Current Emergency First Aid and Child CPR certificate
- Must pass a background check.
- Measles vaccination and COVID vaccination
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to all locations within county as required
- Smart phone with ability to download and utilize school communication apps daily
- Be able to lift 25 to 50 lbs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 per week
