Title: Certified Athletic Trainer
Location: Strath Haven Middle/High school / Springfield, PA office.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week.
Sign On Bonus: $500.00

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
School: 25-30 hours/week
- Works with coaches, athletes, and medical professionals to evaluate the patient’s condition.
- Creates exercise and nutrition plans.
- Collaborates with coaches, family members, and athletes to set health and fitness goals.
- Designs rehabilitation and training programs for athletes
- Uses knowledge of sports-related injuries to diagnose and treat athletes
- Refers athletes to doctors or other medical staff members as necessary.
- Assists and monitors injured players as they heal and progress towards recovery.
Office: 10-15 hours/week
- Acts as a liaison between patients, physicians and MAs
- Responsible for maintaining clinic flow in all areas of the clinic to include the directing of physicians to their next patient, having pertinent data available and ready for review
- Able to provide competent patient assessment through history, physical and examination on all new and established patients
- Able to review patient records and data base to determine health status and is able to identify normal and abnormal findings on history, physical and exam
- After evaluation of the patient is able to provide a thorough presentation of pertinent data both subjective and objective to the attending physician
- Records patient data gathered during the interview or examination and maintains in patient file and EMR
- Performs duties of casting, splinting, suture and staple removal, wound care, brace fitting and crutch training
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in athletic training as well as a valid state license or certification.
- Proven education or experience will be requested.
- 2 years of Athletic Trainer experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of the challenges athletes face, proper nutrition, sports injuries, and treatment options
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and attentive.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, decision making, and communication skills
